Obesity Patient Journey Survey
The Gastrointestinal Society and the Canadian Society of Intestinal Research represent patients on a variety of healthcare fronts. Obesity is a chronic disease defined by an excessive amount of body fat that might put an individual at risk of increased health complications. Managing this disease can be challenging and multi-faceted.
This survey asks questions about your experiences living with overweight and obesity, including your thoughts and feelings about weight, diet, exercise, medications, social support, and more. It includes multiple-choice questions as well as open-ended options. You can also use the open-ended questions at the end of the survey to elaborate on any of the multiple-choice questions if you have more to say.
We will use this information anonymously and in aggregate to map the journey of living with obesity, shape future programming, and inform community members, healthcare professionals, and health policy decision-makers.
To take this survey, you must be at least 18 years of age and have lived with obesity at some point in your adult life.
You will need to know your adulthood lowest, highest, and current body mass index (BMI), and you can go here to make those calculations.
